Titania Jordan is the CPO of Bark.us, an internet safety solution that helps keep children safer on social media, text messaging, and email. As the former host of NBC Atlanta affiliate WXIA’s weekly television show Atlanta Tech Edge, and frequent tech contributor to outlets such as The Today Show, CNN, and CBS This Morning, Titania has the honor of covering the latest in tech news and talent across both the city and the globe. We think all this tech-talk experience makes her more than qualified to co-host EiQ, our little (um, can a gathering of 300 of our closest email geek friends still be little?) email conference tomorrow!
Starting at 9am, Titania and Simms will guide us through a day of no-nonsense presentations, inspiring design innovations, networking opps and more. We recently posed several questions about email marketing and our oh-so-rapidly approaching EiQ event to Titania to prep her for her role as host.
BW: What was your path to email?
TJ: I got my first email address in college (so exciting) and the rest, you could say, is HER-story.
BW: Why do you believe in the channel?
TJ: It’s inexpensive, easy to pivot/segment/target and truly drives results.
BW: What is the coolest or most innovative thing going on in email?
TJ: Animation with GIFs always sucks me in.
BW: What do you want non-believers of the channel to know?
TJ: That they better not get it twisted – email just works (when executed properly) and they are wrong if they think it doesn’t.
BW: What is your favorite email that you receive and/or what brand does email really well?
TJ: My favorite emails (I have two!) come from:
- Chubbies – They’re funny, original, contain some excellent copywriting and an authentic voice.
- Brit&Co – Beautifully designed, content rich, great incentives and extremely relevant every time.
BW: Why does EiQ matter and why should anyone attend?
TJ: Email marketing is inexpensive, mobile responsive, and when done right, extremely effective. If you run email marcom for a business of any size, you should be here to share on all things strategy, creative, and data.
BW: What are you looking forward to at EiQ?
TJ: Hearing tried and true case studies highlighting exceptional outside-the-box marketing ideas combined with the latest in data and tech to spark ideas on how to take email marketing efforts to the next level.
BW: What are you looking forward to experiencing in Atlanta (home of EiQ)?
TJ: Food, fun, getting my learn on and a great big heaping of southern hospitality.
All of that, we can most certainly provide! Our agenda is nothing but chances to get your learn on. Check it out.
