From development interns practicing their coding skills to marketing interns adding to BrightWave expansive content library, this crew is putting their best foot forward at BrightWave. Learn more about the five newest faces in our office below:
Raised in Silver Spring, MD, Bria Harris found her way to Atlanta to attend Clark Atlanta University to study Political Science on a Pre-Law track while also minoring in business administration. As a child, Bria was a competitive figure skater at the age of six. To relax and wind down, Bria enjoys watching home improvement shows like Fixer Upper.
As she continues to work toward her degrees, Bria is excited about completing big projects including a social media campaign involving the National Council of Negro Women. During this project, Bria plans to promote the different events taking place on campus at Clark University. This internship for Bria is an opportunity to develop the skills to see through an entire campaign with successful professionals and learn the mechanics of an eCRM agency.
Our code aficionado Riddhi Panchal, originally from the University of Mumbai where she achieved her bachelor’s degree in information technology, is now at UNC Charlotte for her masters in computer science. Riddhi has been busy with interesting projects including building a hospital management system with VPS Tech Pvt. Riddhi has also built a baby weight-predicting system using TensorFlow. Outside of her studies and projects, Riddhi loves the fitness lifestyle. Nothing helps her feel rejuvenated after a long day like hitting the gym and getting a great workout.
This internship for Riddhi is exciting and eye-opening to learn about email development and the creativity that goes into it. She is also looking forward to being exposed to new tools and having the chance to experiment with hands-on work in a culture that is passionate about individuality.
Raised in Orlando, Florida with five brothers, Andrew Jacobson jumped into the world of sports with high school football and track. Interestingly, Tyson Gay, World Champion US sprinter, ran the same track as Andrew’s track team. After high school, Andrew traveled to Lynchburg, Virginia to attend Liberty University where he is working toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science. As a capstone project, Andrew has worked on software development projects for a Cloud computing company in central Virginia. When he’s not working hard behind the computer, Andrew loves to stay active while watching The Office, running, drawing and writing.
Andrew is excited for the opportunity to work at BrightWave through the summer and is looking forward to interacting with the tech team and learn about the real-time business world. Andrew is also looking forward to learning data management and platform development from experts in the field.
Atlanta native and number enthusiast, Etienne Batiste, joined the BrightWave team as an analytics intern. Etienne is a rising senior and a student of a dual degree program at Spelman College for mathematics and Georgia Tech for industrial engineering. Throughout her studies, Etienne has completed successful projects, one involving renewable energy to create a water filtration system for a small village in Ghana. Etienne has also researched mathematical phenomena of iterated function systems as well as designed a code to provide a 3D printed example. Etienne has a big heart for a better world as she recently returned from a mission trip in Jamaica.
Etienne is excited to be involved in the BrightWave internship and is most looking forward to developing her analytical skills. She is thrilled for the opportunity to learn and navigate these tools from agency professionals.
Originally hailing from Charleston, South Carolina and now residing in Kennesaw, Georgia, Katie Harlow graduated from Kennesaw State University (KSU) with a bachelor’s degree in media and entertainment; she also has an associates degree in Journalism from Georgia State. During her senior year at KSU, Katie worked on a project called The Planner, an event planning magazine with a focus on weddings. She created all original graphics and content for the 60+ page magazine. In her spare time, Katie likes to get her creative juices flowing with painting watercolors of florals and abstracts for her house.
Katie is excited about working closely with marketing, business and event planning professionals and learning real-world scenarios of the professional world. Katie is also excited to learn the ins-and-outs of eCRM as well as contribute ideas to the many departments of the agency.
Interning at one of Atlanta’s best places to work could be intimidating for any young professional. But after knocking many projects out of the park just one week in, it’s clear this bright group sees it as an exciting opportunity to dive into email marketing and further add to our unique culture.
