EiQ is a few short weeks away, Google AMP for Email continues to rock email nerds’ collective world and the GDPR enforcement date is looming in the not-so-distant future. EiQ Awards Finalists Announced
If you’re a BrightWave blog subscriber, you know what EiQ is. Namely, the biggest day of the year for email marketers in Atlanta and beyond! What you may not know is that, as of this year, we’ve added an awards segment to the agenda. The finalists for the 2018 awards, “The Maverick” and “The Whiz,” were just announced earlier this month and it’s certainly an impressive bunch including leaders from brands such as Pinterest, Zillow, Chick-fil-A and Kabbage. Don’t Be Creepy (If You Can Help It)
As an email agency, you’ll more often hear us talking about the upside of good personalization. But there are two sides to every story and it’s important to keep the cons in mind with the pros. According to this eMarketer article, personalization that asks too much or seems to have too many tabs on an individual consumer can come off as “creepy.” And that creep-factor can actually wreak havoc on a company’s bottom line.
